I worked for Transport Canada and Nav Canada for 28.5 years doinginstrument approach design work. I designed the first GPS approaches inCanada and have had two articles published in GPS World Magazine(November1995: Threshold to the North and June 1999 - Aircraft Landings: The GPSApproach. I hold an Airline Transport Pilots licence and last flew a CessnaCitation.

I've established one cache near my birthplace in PEI. It's calledStraghbohgie (GCB923) which I think means little river in Gaelic. I gotfour travel bugs for Xmas and was able to place one of them in PrinceGeorge BC when I was visiting my son recently.

My other hobby is amateur radio and my call sign is VE9GFD.
